Shillong: Government of Meghalaya has transferred and re-designated 20 Indian Police Service officers on June 20th, 2020. These transfers are:

1. Nangkiew K. Syiem, an IPS officer of 2004 batch has been posted as the Chief Security Officer of the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (MePDCL). He was working as Assistant Inspector General of Police (R), Shillong.
2. Darwin M Sangma, an IPS officer of 1996, will be the new Assistant Inspector General of Police (R), Shillong.
3. Claudia A. Lyngwa, an IPS officer of 2010 batch shall now be the Commandant of the 1st MLP Battalion, Mawiong. She was working as the Superintendent of Police (SP)East Khasi Hills district.
4. Sylvester Nongtnger, an IPS of 2012 batch shall replace Lyngwa as the Superintendent of Police of East Khasi Hills.
5. Bikram B Marak, an IPS officer of 2004 batch who is currently working as the SP (Traffic), Shillong, has been transferred as the SP of West Jaintia Hills district.
6. Vivek Syiem, another IPS officer of 2004 batch, who is currently working as Anti-Infiltration SP, has been transferred SP (City), Shillong.
7. Lakador Syiem, an Indian Police Service officer of 2004 batch, who is currently working as the SP of West Jaintia Hills district shall take charge as the Anti-Infiltration SP.
8. Aditya Goenka, an Indian Police Service officer of 2008 batch, who is currently working as the Crime Investigation Department (CID) SP, has been posted as the SP of the Fire and Emergency Services.
9. Superintendent of Police (F&ES), Meghalaya, Shillong, an Indian Police Service officer Jubi G. Momin has been posted as the Commandant of the 6th MLP Battalion in Umran.
10. Vivekanand Singh, an Indian Police Service officer of 2012 batch has been posted as the Crime Investigation Department (CID) SP.
11. Deepak Kumar Palecha, an Indian Police Service officer of 2015 batch, who is currently working as Deputy Commandant, 4th MLP Bn (attached as Addl. SP, West Garo Hills District) has been transferred as the SP of East Jaintia Hills district.
12. Mary Gnora T. Sangma, an Indian police Service officer, who is serving as the Sixth MLP Battalion commandant, will now be posted as the principal of the Police Training School in Shillong.
13. Nazarius Lamare, an Indian Police Service officer of 2004 batch, who is currently serving as the SP, Anti-Infiltration Directorate, Shillong, has been transferred as the Ri-Bhoi district SP.
14. Chemphang Syrti, an IPS officer of 2004 batch, has been transferred as the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) in Shillong. he was working as the Ri-Bhoi SP.
15. Ringrang T.G. Momin, an Indian IPS officer of 2004 batch has been shifted to Anti-infiltration Superintendent of Police.
16. Herbert G. Lyngdoh, who is an Indian Police Service officer – currently working as the SP, Economic Offence Wing, CID, Shillong cum I/C Director, FSL, Mawdiangdiang, has been posted as the West Khasi Hills District SP.
17. Bashanborlang J. Laloo, will take charge as the second-in-command of SF-10 in Shillong. The 2004 batch officer was working as the SP, West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin.
18. Billy Graham Marak has been transferred as the commandant of the 5th MLP Battalion in Samgong. He was working as the SP (VIS). He is a 2004 batch IPS officer.
19. Bruno A Sangma, Deputy Commandant of the 4th MLP Battalion in Sohpian, Nongstoin, has been transferred as the SP of East Garo Hills District. He is a 2004 batch IPS officer.
20. Lethindra G Momin, Deputy Commandant of the 3rd MLP Battalion at Sahbsein was transferred as the EOW SP. He is a 2004 batch IPS officer.
